Graham was a youth trainee at Everton and made his debut for the Premiership side on Boxing Day 1996. Despite making six appearance, he went out on loan to Tranmere Rovers at the end of the 97/98 season and signed for them when he was released during the summer of 1998. The central defender went on to become a popular figure amongst the Tranmere supporters and made 200 appearances in six years, scoring 10 goals in the process.

He became one of Ernie Tippett's first signings when he joined Diamonds from Tranmere on 14 June 2004 and was allocated the No.5 squad number during the two years he was at Nene Park. He was released in May 2005 and joined Chester City, but was plagued with injury which forced him to retire from the full-time scene. After a trial with Droylsden, he joined Bradford Park Avenue in August 2007 and is currently enjoying a successful season with the Unibond Division One North side.
