Paul Hall
Paul Hall was signed by Brian Talbot in 2001. Promotion the previous season had left Talbot needing to bring in more quality and depth to the Rushden side. Hall was added along with fellow Jamaican Onandi Lowe. Although he could play as a striker, it was on the right wing where Hall made his most significant impact.

The much-travelled Hall has had spells at 10 different clubs in his career. He enjoyed some time at Sheffield United and West Brom before eventually joining Rushden from Walsall, making 106 league appearances for the club. He has recently rejoined Walsall after a spell at Chesterfield.

Hall scored 29 goals for the club in total, but he will be best remembered for his wonder goal at the Millennium Stadium in 2002. The Diamonds first season in the Football League had produced some fantastic moments that propelled them into the play-off final against Cheltenham. As Hall picked the ball up near the halfway line there appeared to be little danger. However, after beating 4 players and subtly lifting the ball over the opposing goalkeeper, Hall celebrated one of the finest goals the Millennium stadium has seen. Rushden unfortunately lost the match 3-1 but it was Hall's goal that will be remembered from that day.
The following season, Hall finished joint top scorer for Rushden in all competitions, netting 16 times to equal striker Onandi Lowe's total for the season.
