We've had a terrific week; the team played exceptionally well and got the rewards for all their hard work, something that we have not had in the earlier games.  Two great hat tricks from Simeon and the second one is probably one of the best I've ever seen in sheer terms of quality of finishing, it was fantastic.

He's put his name in the history books for Rushden & Diamonds with that second consecutive hat trick; can he make it three consecutive hat tricks on Saturday?

Simeon's got to get goals on a consistent level and the team's got to get goals on a consistent level. We don't look like we are going to concede many, but we must maintain that form.

The players are working tremendously hard, learning as they go and developing a style of play that is very hard to develop - We try and be entertaining, we try to pass the ball. But they have been a pleasure to work with. They have listened and learnt and tried to do what we've asked and I don't think anybody could ask for anymore.

One thing that's impressed me over the past few games is how disciplined they are on the pitch.

Well it's no coincidence. We have the best disciplinary record in the whole of the country I think and we must strive to maintain that. We are on a suspended £10,000 fine from the FA for our terrible disciplinary record last season. The lads have concentrated very very hard on that - They've made tackles when they can, they haven't talked to the referee in a derogatory manner, they've not pulled shirts, they've played the game honestly. To play the way we're trying to play, as a passing team, and to keep the discipline like that is a great effort.

Lets look ahead to Stafford, that's going to be another tough game for you isn't it?

I think so. Apart from the game at Stevenage, they've been very very tight and they've had some very good results. So we know they are going to work extremely hard, but we've got to maintain this little run of form.
