Blue Square Announce "Manager of the Month" and "Player of the Month" Winners for October
Exeter City striker Richard Logan has been voted by fans as the Blue Square Premier "Player of the Month" for October. Logan polled over 40 percent of the votes, after a month in which he scored four goals including a hat-trick at Salisbury City. The former England youth and schoolboy international also scored the only goal of the game in The Grecians 1-0 home win over Grays Athletic.
The award in the Blue Square North goes to Gareth Seddon of Hyde United. Seddon helped his team to a record of four wins from four games during the period, scoring 4 goals. All of Seddon's goals came away from home, as his club climbed into the promotion places in the division.

Seddon was on the books at Rushden & Diamonds, however barely featured due to illness and injury.
Bishop's Stortford striker Greg Pearson wins the Blue Square South award after a month in which he scored four goals in three games. The highlight of the month was a hat-trick in his sides 4-0 away victory at Weston Super Mare. Completing a brace of ex-Diamonds winners in the Leagues below us, ex-West Ham trainee Pearson was signed by Barry Hunter, featuring in Coca Cola League Two, and the Conference with the Diamonds, leaving earlier this year for Bishop's Stortford.

Histon boss Steve Fallon has won the Blue Square "Manager of the Month" award for October. The Stutes won three of their four games during the month, recording two away victories at resurgent York City and fellow Blue Square Premier newcomers Droylsden. Fallon has guided his part-time team to within touching distance of the play-off positions following last year's promotion season. The award is judged by a panel of experts including Setanta Blue Square Premier pundit Paul Parker. Parker had this to say about Fallon: "The fact that Histon can see full-time teams like Exeter, York and Oxford below them in the table shows what a fantastic job Steve Fallon has done at the Glassworld Stadium".
In the Blue Square South the award goes to newly appointed Eastleigh manager Ian Baird. The former Havant & Waterlooville boss took charge of his first game only a few days into the month, a 2-2 draw at Bishop's Stortford. The Spitfires then went on to record two 3-0 victories at home to high flying Lewes and away at Weston Super Mare.
Hyde United manager Steve Waywell scooped the award in the Blue Square North. Hyde achieved a one hundred percent record throughout the period with four wins from four games, conceding only 2 goals in the process. The highlight of the month was a 5-1 away victory at Leigh RMI.
