Cambridge Game Brought Forward
The Setanta Shield Fourth Round fixture between Cambridge United and Rushden & Diamonds has been brought forward to Friday 21st December 2007 at 7.45pm.
This move has been agreed to allow both teams the extra time to prepare for their busy Christmas and New Year schedules. Cambridge face two local derbies against Histon, along with Burton Albion in the Blue Square Premier, followed by an FA Cup game against Wolves. The Diamonds face two local derbies against Stevenage, along with games against Northwich Victoria and Salisbury City over the festive period.
The Setanta Shield game will now take place on Friday 21st December 2007 at 7:45pm at The Abbey Stadium, with entry charged for both home and away fans at £7 for Adults/OAPs/Students and £2 for Under 16s.
The prices have been reduced for this fixture for all fans. Club Secretary Matt Wild commented"We appreciate that with Christmas only around the corner this is a very expensive time of the year for everyone and by both Clubs agreeing to cut ticket prices a bumper crowd is hoped for at Cambridge, to which Diamonds will receive half of all gate receipts taken".
Rushden & Diamonds fans will be in the South Stand, which is all seated where Diamonds fans will pay the same special offer price of £7 for Adults/OAPs/Students and £2 for Under 16s.
