McAllister Moves to Oxford
Craig McAllister has today signed for Oxford United.
The twenty seven year old striker signed on loan at Diamonds from Grays Athletic in October 2007, being awarded the number nine shirt. The beginning of November 2007 saw a brief return to Grays to provide cover for one match, which was then followed by a renewed loan deal later that same month, with a view to signing permanently once the transfer window opened at the beginning of January 2008.
During his loan spell McAllister impressed at Diamonds, with Oxford United expressing an interest in the forward, and with a baby on the way, Craig has decided to move to Oxford to allow him to be closer to his family home in Southampton.
During his spell at Nene Park, with seven Blue Square Premier starts, McAllister scored one goal, in the five-nil victory over Oxford at the beginning of November 2007.
We wish Craig all the best at Oxford United and thank him for his services at Rushden & Diamonds.
