Paul Watson has today joined Crawley Town on a permanent basis. The 32-year-old left back had signed for Crawley on a 'loan with a view to sign' arrangement in October 2007, putting pen to paper on a contract this morning.

Following a long Football League career for teams such as Brighton & Hove Albion, Gillingham, Coventry, Brentford and Fulham, Watson signed at Nene Park in June 2006 on a free transfer from Woking, making him one of former manager, Paul Hart's first signings for Diamonds.

Paul proved to be an ever present player at Nene Park at the start of the 2006/07 season. However as the season progressed Watson found his starting opportunities limited, and only started a handful of games at the beginning of the 2007/08 campaign, being subsequently loaned out to Crawley Town in October 2007.
