The 19-year old midfielder had his contract cancelled by mutual consent with Coventry City last week, after rising through the youth and reserves ranks at the Sky Blues.

This season saw Andy given a first team squad number at Coventry. However he did not manage to break into the first team and has spent much of this season on loan at Burton Albion, making twelve appearances, including the0-0 draw against Diamonds at Nene Park earlier this season.

Gooding adds options to Diamonds midfield, going straight into the squad for tomorrow's game against Weymouth. He will be given squad number 17.
