Following the huge success of 2006's Sport Relief Mile, Nene Park will host another mile event on Sunday 16th March 2008. This time 'milers' can run or walk three different distances; one, three or six miles.

The mile run takes place on Sunday 16th March 2008, with registration from 1.30pm, and races starting from 2:00pm. The course starts at Nene Park's Airwair Stand and finishes at Stanwick Lakes, taking in the scenery of Rushden & Diamonds FC, the river Nene and Stanwick Lakes on the way.

The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile sits at the heart of the Sport Relief Weekend and is the ultimate way to get involved. As well as at Nene Park and Stanwick Lakes, mile events will take place in over 200 other locations across the UK, so you shouldn't have to travel far to take part.

There are all sorts of other ways to get involved too - throw down the gauntlet on the 5-a-side pitch with mates, host a sports quiz at the office, or play keepie-uppie on the school playground. Whatever you do, make sure you raise cash while you do it and help someone to turn their life around.

Sport Relief harnesses the power and passion of sport to change lives for the better. By doing sport, having fun and raising money, everyone can do good and feel good. Comic Relief spends the money raised to help vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both at home in the UK and in the world's poorest countries.
