Following discussions between Rushden & Diamonds and Aldershot Town last week the Club have managed to secure free entry for Diamonds fans at the Setanta Shield Final as a way of saying thank you for the brilliant support the Club has received throughout the course of the season, and particularly throughout the previous rounds in the Setanta Shield.

To obtain free entry, fans simply have to come to the Rushden & Diamonds Club Shop/Ticket Office in person, starting at 10.00am on Monday 31^st March 2008 until 12.00 noon on Thursday 3^rd April 2008. They will then be given a voucher, which they must show on the turnstile at Aldershot to obtain free entry to the Setanta Shield Final.The Club Shop will also be extending their opening hours on Wednesday evening where it will be open until 7.30pm for those who cannot get down to Nene Park during normal office hours.

The voucher is only applicable to Rushden & Diamonds fans, and must be obtained in person at the Club Shop / Ticket Office. There will be no free admission on the night at Aldershot without the relevant Rushden & Diamonds voucher. Those who do not have a voucher on the night will be charged £10 Adults, £5 Concessions.

R&D Travel are running transport to the Setanta Shield Final, leaving Rushden Lightstrung at 4.00pm and Nene Park at 4.15pm, costing £12 for a seat, fans can book by phoning 07914 301594.

Manager Garry Hill commented "We hope as many Rushden & Diamonds fans as possible can make the journey to Aldershot to get behind the team in the first National Cup Final in the Club's history. It might be a case of chatting to the boss nicely on Monday morning at work to get away early on Thursday, but we'd love it if as many fans as possible could make the trip to support the boys and hopefully bring the shield home with us on the night "
