Troy Bull of South End School in Rushden was the winner of a year long poster competition organised by the Smoke Free Homes Programme, a partnership between East Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire teaching Primary Care Trust, Northamptonshire Fire service and Rushden & Diamonds Football Club. The programme aims to address the issue of second hand smoke affecting young people in the home and encourages parents not to smoke in the presence of their children.

The winning poster was chosen from hundreds of candidates at schools across the area, designed by Troy Bull, it urges people to: 'take the need for a cigarette, and set fire to it'.

Troy was invited to watch the Exeter game and presented with a signed Rushden & Diamonds shirt at Saturday's game against Exeter by Rushden & Diamonds Youth Team players John Wigglesworth and James Freshwater.

Rachel Roberts, Commercial Manager at Rushden & Diamonds said, "We are pleased to have done this programme with the council, helping to promote both Rushden & Diamonds in the local community but also the message of healthy living. We hope Troy likes his prize and enjoyed the game on Saturday."
