After initally joining the Club on a month-long loan deal, the Diamonds extended Boston United defender Mark Albrighton's laon through to the end of the season.
The 30-year old centre-back joined the Diamonds on an initial month's loan in the middle of January and was an instant revelation. Albrighton's debut came as a substitute in the FA Trophy win away at Witton Albion and he has since started against Stafford Rangers, Cambridge and Oxford respectively.
Albrighton has been one of the key factors in the Diamonds four game unbeaten run during January, which included two clean sheets and Graham Westley was quick to extend the services of Mark on loan until the end of the season.
The tough tackling defender is renowned for his no-nonsense attitude on the pitch and has already shown the type of form that he has displayed throughout his career at clubs like Doncaster Rovers, Chester and Boston.
Already the centre-back has been the frustration of a number of opposition strikers and is fast becoming a crowd favourite with many of the Nene Park faithful.
Mark gives the Diamonds much needed competition for places at the back and will hopefully form the backbone of the team for a successful second half of the season.Season 2007 - 08
