The Rushden & Diamonds Sports Centre's Player Development centre kicks off its new programme on Monday 10th March 2008

The Player Development Centre is a great way for kids to practice their football skills in an informal, fun environment. There are sessions for every school year from 2 through to 9 on a Monday evening.

The Centre takes place on the Nene Park Astroturf Pitch and is of course coached by fully qualified Football Association Level 2 coaches.

Costing just £42 for the ten week course, it is a great way to introduce a child to playing football, without the pressures and competition of playing for a club. It also gives Rushden & Diamonds coaches a chance to have a look at young players, in the past visitors to the course have then being recommended to the Elite Centre, with the chance of progression through to the Centre of Excellence.

The Sports Centre runs a range of events for people of all ages, not just football based. They run trampolining and gymnastics through to self defence and mums and tots groups. The centre also has sunbeds and facilities for hire.
