Thomas Sullivan wins the County Council "Sportscard Project " Design Competition.

Northamptonshire County Council are about to launch a Sportscard Project aimed at dealing with issues facing young people across the county.The project is backed by the four professional Sports clubs at Rushden and Diamonds FC,Northampton Town FC,Northampton Saints RUFC and Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.The young people who attended the Summer Term "Playing for Success" sessions at the Diamonds,Cobblers,Saints and Steelbacks Study Support Centres,which are based at the Sports Clubs, were asked to submit designs for the front cover of the "Sportscard".
Tom Sullivan, who attends Bishop Stopford Enterprise College Kettering,designed his poster whilst at the Diamonds Study Centre and it was judged to be the winning entry.Tom received a signed football shirt from Rushden and Diamonds FC and he was given a full scale printed copy of his design.The presentations were made, at half time during the local derby between Rushden and Diamonds FC and Northampton Town FC,by David Bell (Her Majesty's Chief Inspector for Schools) Councillors Joan Kirkbride and Brandon Eldred and Rob Jones (Diamonds Study Centre Manager)
The Sportscard Project will be officially launched in early November at the County Ground the home of Northamptonshire County Cricket Club!
